Project Management for Business Central – Invoice Template

The standard jobs functionality in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central helps you to manage projects and contracts for your organization. This functionality enables users to define project structures, plan and manage tasks in projects and manage project budgets vs. actuals. This functionality works well for many companies but is not always sufficient for project-centric businesses to run their business well.

The Prodware Project Management for Business Central is made up of different apps that take the standard jobs functionality a few steps further and increases the efficiency & flexibility of managing projects and providing better insights. This results in time savings and error reduction and enhances the ability to complete projects on schedule and within budget.

The Invoice Template app within the Prodware Project Management for Business Central suite enables the user to define predefined billing schedules for a project. These schedules are used as templates to automatically calculate the dates and amounts for the various terms within a project based on the date of that individual project.
The Invoice Template offers the option to determine the line amount based on a fixed amount or as a percentage. There are various options and formula’s available to determine the payment dates.

Applying the invoice template.
The amount to be invoiced will be calculated per period based on the contract amount. If the contract value changes during the project, there are various options to update the remaining lines regarding the amount still to be invoiced.

The Invoice Template app empowers users managing projects or contracts to reduce repetitive actions and to standardize projects in an organization, saving time and reducing errors.

The Invoice Template app is fully integrated with the Project Template App which therefore will also be part of the installment. Upon subscription to the Project Template App it is possible to use a template to add a default Invoice Template to a Project.
